You're right! ~Holly Desvelubergakol 9.Jan.03 01:48 AM a Web browser Domino Server 6.0Windows 2000
Hi Dave,
You are right! The 4165 error only comes out whenever the browser asks the user to choose a certificate. This happens every time a connection is attempted after the browser had been closed. It doesn't happen the second time if the user had already picked the certificate the first time and the browser remembers to use it the second time around.
Does this happen with Netscape or any other browsers? (Actually you can choose not to answer that if you don't want to. I can easily check by installing the browsers and test. I'm just lazy :-)
I'm doing this on a test machine and it's already quite annoying. I can't imagine the horror if SSL is implemented on a full scale and every user accesses through IE (which incidently is what most of my users use). Now that we know what's probably causing it, is there a way to somehow hide the error or something? I can picture in my head already the server console spewing this error every few seconds or so every time a user attempts SSL.
